GetTV ("we", "us", "our") takes the handling of personal data seriously. Set out below: what gets collected when you visit gettv.uk or use the subscription, why, where it lives, who else sees it, and how long any of it is kept. All of it operates under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Data Controller

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account Information
Placing an order or contacting support means giving us a name, an email address and, optionally, a WhatsApp number, which is the minimum needed to deliver credentials and provide help afterwards.
3.2 Payment Information
Payments run through established third-party processors. Full card numbers, CVV codes and bank credentials are never stored on our systems; all we receive back is a confirmation reference.
3.3 Usage Data
We collect limited technical data such as connection quality and general server load, purely to keep performance where it should be. None of it is used to identify or profile individual viewers.
3.4 Device Information
To send the right setup instructions and to troubleshoot properly, we may record which type of device you use (smart TV, streaming stick, mobile, PC) and which version of the app is installed on it.
3.5 Website Data
The site uses a minimal set of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors move through it. Browser settings can control all of it at any time.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract: to deliver the subscription you bought.
- Legitimate interest: to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve quality.
- Consent: for anything optional, such as service updates or offers.
- Legal obligation: where UK law requires records to be retained.
5. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver and manage your subscription.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Send login credentials and setup instructions.
- Provide customer support by email or WhatsApp.

6. Data Protection and Security
Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are applied throughout, including encrypted connections over TLS, access controls and secure hosting, protecting personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure, in line with UK GDPR.
7. Data Sharing
Your personal information is never sold. Data is shared only with trusted providers, and only for the purposes described here:
- Payment processors (to complete your transaction).
- Email and messaging providers, to deliver credentials and support.
- Hosting and infrastructure partners, to run the service itself.
- Legal or regulatory bodies where required by law.
8. International Transfers
Where personal data moves outside the UK or the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards apply: Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to countries covered by a UK adequacy decision.
9. Data Retention
Personal data is kept only as long as it is needed, typically for the life of an active subscription plus 12 months, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Records required for tax or legal purposes may be held longer where the law requires it.
10. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request erasure, often called the right to be forgotten.
- Restrict or object to certain types of processing.
- Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable form.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing whenever you choose.

11. Complaints
If you believe your data has been mishandled and we have not put it right, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
12. Children's Privacy
Sold to adults aged 18 and over only. No information is knowingly collected from anyone younger. If you have reason to think a minor has supplied us with data, tell us and it gets deleted.
13. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes are notified to active subscribers by email, and the last updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
